Steerprop, the leading designer and manufacturer of propulsion systems, is pleased to announce the appointment of Teemu Mäkinen (M.Sc. Engineering) as Production Director and member of the Steerprop Management Team, effective August 1, 2024. This appointment will further strengthen the company’s strategic ambitions to enhance production capabilities, meet increasing volumes, adhere to the latest manufacturing requirements, and respond the growing market demand.
Teemu Mäkinen has an extensive background with a proven track record in the maritime industry. He has built a robust career with extensive expertise in production management, particularly in steel production and large-scale project execution.
He joins Steerprop from Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC), where he dedicated the past nine years in various key roles. At RMC, Mäkinen held positions as Production Manager, Project Manager, and Procurement Manager, among other responsibilities in service and sales. His extensive experience equips him with the skills and knowledge to make a substantial contribution to Steerprop's global operations.
