Steerprop is looking for Chief Design Engineer (Mechanical Engineering) to join our growing team of azimuth propulsion experts. As a Chief Design Engineer, you will work in the Product Management team, which is responsible for defining and managing Steerprop products, delivery projects and R&D.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Design new products or improve existing ones
- Independently lead engineering projects
- Manage performance, targets, scope, and timetables of demanding engineering projects.
- Collaborate with other Chief Design Engineers to develop Steerprop design methods.
We expect you to have:
- At least three years of experience in machine design
- A track record of successful engineering work
- Understanding of material strength, bearings, and mechanical engineering in general
- Strong skills working with 3D CAD-systems
- Experience in marine or heavy industry (preferred, but not required).
