Project Engineer, Steerprop (temporary)

We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented Project Engineer to join our team on a temporary basis as a parental leave substitute. The contract will be valid until August 2027. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing delivery projects from conception through to completion. The role involves hands-on work and requires effective collaboration, and initiative in tackling problems. This is a great opportunity to step into a key role and contribute to meaningful engineering projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Assisting in the planning, scheduling, and execution of delivery projects
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, and production
  • Preparing technical reports, documentation, and monitoring project progress
  • Reviewing design plans, specifications, and other technical documents
  • Supporting project managers in budget tracking, resource allocation, and quality assurance
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project goals are met

The skills and experience we value:

  • Proficient in software such as Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Technical education (e.g. engineering, bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent)

In this role, you will report to Director, Sales and Project Management with your office located in Rauma, Finland.
