We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Engineer to strengthen our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for mechanical service, repair, installation supervision, and troubleshooting tasks related to Steerprop’s propulsion systems in Finland and internationally.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Service, repair, and commissioning of marine propulsion and steering equipment
- Troubleshooting, disassembly, inspection, measurements, and component repairs
- Testing and inspections according to QA/QC requirements
- Preparing service and technical reports
- Customer collaboration at shipyards and onboard vessels
- Guiding the service team in fieldwork when needed
- Reporting on work progress and costs
The skills and experience we value:
- Several years (3–5 years) of experience with marine propulsion or similar machinery systems
- Strong technical skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in the field
- Ability to read drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Fluency in both spoken and written English. Finnish is considered a strong advantage
- Basic IT skills
- A customer-oriented and safety-conscious working approach
- Willingness to travel and work in an international environment, approximately 150 days per year
- A Degree in Engineering (marine, mechanical, or electrical) or equivalent. Relevant experience can substitute for formal education

In this role, you will report to the Service Operations Manager with your office located in Rauma, Finland.
